Floating over a private lake garden, high in the trees, you will find the first Treehouse at Marklye – The Buzzardry. The perfect place to catch your breath and appreciate the beautiful English countryside.
Rosamund Fairbairn (now Lady Fisher) bought Marklye in the 1950s because she fell in love with the majestic oak trees that sit at the bottom of the valley. Inspired by her Capability Brown landscaped childhood home, Lady Fisher spent many years cultivating the lakes and gardens around those trees, creating this beautiful setting.
She planted for every season and there is always something to enjoy here. Whether it be magnolia trees in spring, the sweeping views of the rolling green countryside in the height of summer, or curling up with a book by the log burner and watching the autumn leaves fall around you.
We have now built this luxury Treehouse retreat to take full advantage of this wonderful setting. Once here you are free to roam in the lake gardens, the surrounding woods or play a game of tennis on the court in the grounds.
We would love to welcome you to experience this magical place.
